Frequently Asked Questions >>

Q:  Is there cellular reception at Panguitch Lake?

A:  There is no cell service available around Panguitch Lake or at Bear Paw Resort.  A mile and a half down the road at Panguitch Lake General Store, cellular service can be reached.

Q: Where is wi-fi connectivity available?

A:  We offer free wi-fi connectivity in and around the lodge building at Bear Paw.  It can be accessed 24/7, however the signal does not extend into the campground.

Q: What is the lake level like throughout the summer?

Panguitch Lake was a natural lake just shy of 800 surface acres before the building of the dam.  This extended the lake to approximately 1,247 surface acres.  So, although the lake is used for irrigation (typically releasing water through the dam beginning in June) there is always enough water to get on the lake and catch fish!

Q:  Is there a grocery store or gas station at the lake?

Panguitch Lake General Store is the place to go for dairy products and a larger selection of retail options.  They conveniently also serve as the only gas station at Panguitch Lake.

Q:  Can we purchase fishing licenses at the resort?

A:  Fishing licenses can be purchased once you arrive to Bear Paw.  However, licences can take time, and lines may build during peak hours.  It is a much quicker option to simply go online and purchase your license before arriving.

Q: How is the fishing??

A:  The fishing is always good. It's Panguitch Lake.
